Johan Fritzell and Johan Åkerberg founded Holy Smoke BBQ in 2014 in rural Skåne, Sweden. Inspired by countless trips to Texas, they turned a passion for authentic barbecue into one of the world’s largest barbecue restaurants, serving up to 1500 guests a day during peak season.
Driven by an uncompromising commitment to craft and a belief that food tastes better when shared, the two Johans have spent more than a decade proving that world-class barbecue isn’t about geography. It’s about passion, patience and community.
