Green Street

Green Street was born in 2014 out of the belief that Chicago was seriously in need of some Texas BBQ— specifically, the kind of backyard BBQ that gets out of hand when the entire neighborhood shows up and no one leaves until the last brisket is gone.  So we found a derelict auto shop, bought an Oyler smoker big enough to live in, added some picnic tables and stacks of post oak wood and went to work. 

Our pitmaster, Dave Bonner, got wind of what we were doing and migrated a thousand miles just to be a part of the fun.  And we got our wish — because now folks find us by literally following their noses to our door, just like in Texas.
